Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about learning resources, candidate feedback, access and mock exams.
01What is ORE Revision?+
ORE Revision is an independent learning platform supporting dentists preparing for ORE Part 1 and LDS Part 1. It combines topic-based resources, visual learning, original SBA practice, progress tools and mock exams.
02Is ORE Revision an official GDC or RCS England service?+
No. ORE Revision is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an official service of the General Dental Council or the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
03Can I use the platform for LDS Part 1?+
Yes. The shared subject library and SBA bank cover the principal clinical, applied-science, human-disease, professional, legal and safety domains tested in LDS Part 1. Candidates should still use the current official LDS syllabus as their final checklist.
04Does the platform contain recalled examination questions?+
No. Practice questions are independently written. Candidate feedback may identify broad themes worth revising, but recalled or copied examination questions are not reproduced.
05How is candidate feedback used?+
Feedback submitted after ORE and LDS examination periods is reviewed for recurring topics, learning gaps and usability concerns. It can guide future explanations and original practice content.
06What is included under each topic?+
Topics can include four direct learning areas: Lecture Notes, ORE Pearls, Image Learning and Crash Revision, followed by focused question practice.
07What is available with a free account?+
A free account provides access to selected learning resources, questions and the two free mock exams. The exact free library may be updated as the platform develops.
08What does Premium unlock?+
When Premium access is enabled, it unlocks the wider topic library, complete question bank, six ORE master mocks and two LDS Part 1 mocks, subject to the plan shown on the Pricing page.
09How do question-bank sessions work?+
Choose a paper, subject or individual topic, then start a 30, 50, 100 or All related questions session. The page shows the live published-question total available to your account. You can jump between question numbers and review incorrect or bookmarked questions.
10How do mock exams work?+
ORE master mocks contain 200 questions. Each of the two LDS Part 1 mocks contains 300 questions: 150 from Paper A domains and 150 from Paper B domains. The platform presents each as one continuous practice session with an elapsed timer, autosaving and explanations after final submission.
11Can the platform guarantee that I will pass?+
No revision platform can guarantee an examination result. ORE Revision supports structured preparation, but candidates remain responsible for checking official requirements and using professional judgement.
